Boston Globe's Daily Shopping Tip
Every Prada tells a story
When we buy something at Second Time Around, we like to create a story about who
owned the designer clothes before us: Did a Beacon Hill matron donate a million
bucks to charity while wearing the Chanel sweater? Did a Broadway dancer wear the
Prada shoes? For 35 years, the store has been selling gently worn designer labels,
and it's celebrating with refreshments today at the Newbury Street store and a sale
in all four locations through Sunday. If you spend $100 or more, you could win a
$500 gift certificate and the use of a car for 48 hours. Second Time Around, 176
Newbury St., 617-247-3504 . secondtimeareound.net
