A Note from the CEO: Big Changes

When we sent out a client survey, you all responded with your praise, critiques and suggestions for STA. Well we listened!
Starting this month, we are rolling out new plans that will make consigning and shopping with STA even better.
Instead of waiting every 60 days for your consignment payout, you’ll now be getting paid every month. If your balance is over $100, we’ll automatically send you a check. However, if your monthly balance is under $100, you can pick up a check the first of the following month.
We also understand that your workweek can be hectic, and finding the time for a consignment appointment is a challenge. This is why we’re now taking appointments on Saturdays and Sundays in addition to our Monday-Friday appointment times.
We’ve also revamped our website, with our online account capabilities now better than ever. If you have ever had issues with logging in or tracking your items, we sincerely apologize. Those technical issues have been resolved and our new system aims to be completely hassle-free. Should you ever have any questions or need to contact a customer service representative, we have a dedicated team behind all of your needs.
On top of these new improvements, we are also in the process of opening several new stores. We just opened our doors in three new locations in New York City - one on 72nd Street and Amsterdam Ave, one on 92nd Street and Madison Ave, and one on 19th Street and Third Ave in the Gramercy Park area. In addition, we are opening up a store mid-November in Huntington, Long Island, as well as looking at spaces in more towns in New Jersey and other locations all over the eastern United States. Are you addicted to high-end designer style with an overflowing wardrobe? If you’re overwhelmed by all of the unworn items in your closet, you’re not alone in the fight to organize your designer pieces.
We’re here to help – along with our style gurus from Style For Hire. (Yes, that Style For Hire from the style go-to Stacy London and Cindy McLaughlin.) Think of it as a fashioniSTA’s very own What Not To Wear. Style For Hire’s network of trained stylists are a godsend to aid every disorganized closet.
How to get in on it? Our collaboration with Style For Hire provides a complimentary stylist visit to process your premier high-end designer pieces for consignment. They’ll assess and clear out the items you no longer wear- leading to a cleaner closet (and extra money). You’ll need at least 50 premium high-end designer pieces to make an appointment, think Pucci, Louis Vuitton and Lanvin. Once you get to 50 pieces, we’d be happy to process your mid-range designers as well, from J. Crew to Diane von Furstenberg. So clear out that Gucci from last year, the untouched Louis Vuitton pouchette, and that barely-worn Celine dress, all from the comfort of your own home.
