What is consignment?

To us consignment means giving a once loved item new life, and making some money in the process! Not to be confused with the idea of "thrift," consignment is resale, and in our case, resale that has gone upscale. We look for designer clothing and accessories in great condition, creating a world of unique wardrobes with a smaller carbon footprint. If you have new or gently used designer clothing and accessories that never make it out of your closet, bring them to STA and cash in on your fashion!

What we accept:

We are now accepting Winter Consignment

Articles should be of a current style, seasonally appropriate and generally no older than 2 years.
Articles should be in new or like-new condition.
Garments should be freshly dry-cleaned or laundered.
Second Time Around prefers that garments arrive at stores neatly folded in bags rather than on hangers.

Pricing & selling your pieces

90 Day Consignment Period
Accepted items are on the floor for a 90 day selling period. Over the 90 days, items are marked down based on our strategic selling strategy.

How We Price

Our store managers are equipped with the fashion know-how to accurately price any garment you may choose to consign. Items are generally priced at 30%-40% of their original retail value, depending on condition and style. If your item is new with tags, we will price it at approximately 50% of the price listed on the tag.

In-Home Consignment

All of our locations offer in-home consignment concierge services. If you have 50 or more designer pieces you may qualify for this complementary service! Click here to learn more about in-home consignment and how to set up an initial consultation

MY STA

Ready to consign?

There are 3 easy ways to consign with us.

Appointment - call your local STA to schedule your appointment.

Drop-off - you can drop items off for consignment at any location, but items that are not accepted on consignment will be donated to charity.

In-Home Concierge Service - if you have over 50 high-end designer pieces, you may qualify for an in-home appointment.

Consignment payments are processed every month. If your balance is over $100, a check will be mailed on the 15th of the following month. Should your monthly balance be under $100, you may pick up a check at the store you consign with at the 1st of the following month. If you choose to get a check for your sold pieces, you will receive 40% of the final selling price of each item. If you bring in any premium high-end handbags (find a list of designers that qualify here), you'll automatically earn at least 50% of the final selling price. Learn more >

credit

You can also use any consignment earnings as store credit, and you will receive a 10% credit bonus with this option! If you have $100 in credit, it will be worth $110 towards your purchase. Just check the box on your consignment form indicating you would like to take advantage of this option, or you can ask a store associate to change your account at any time. You may also change your account back to receiving a check at any time, just ask any associate to make the change to your account.
